
 | November 10th, 2009Fathom's Jennifer Ford Named President of the Ad Club of CTRecently, the Advertising Club of Connecticut named Jennifer Ford as its president. The Advertising Club of Connecticut is the largest association in the state serving Advertising and Marketing professionals. This is Ford's first time serving as president; she was named after serving on the Board of Directors since 2003.
"I was encouraged by my previous boss, Loretta Berry from Out of Home America, to get involved with the Advertising Club of Connecticut and I am very grateful for her push, because it has been a very rewarding experience," said Ford, Traffic Manager at Fathom, a CT-based brand and creative firm. "We have a really exciting year lined up and I look forward to working with all of our wonderful volunteers on some really great events for the Advertising and Marketing community in our state."
According to Ford, membership brings professionals from every facet of the advertising and marketing industries together to promote advertising throughout the state, emphasizing professionalism through educational programs and seminars, networking, exchanging of ideas and the recognition of creative excellence. Plans for the upcoming year include outreach efforts to increase membership, industry events for members and non-members alike and charity fundraisers that support organizations such as the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and the Rob Branham Scholarship Fund.
"With Jennifer at the helm, the Advertising Club of Connecticut is in good hands. She has the drive, the ambition and the perserverance to make things happen. The Ad Club Board is very lucky to have such a dynamic leader," said Sandra Brangiero, the Advertising Club of Connecticut's Executive Director.
The Advertising Club of Connecticut is a non-profit organization. In addition to annual large events, the Ad Club also hosts an almost monthly networking happy hour called Thirsty Thursday, an informal place to meet others in the industry.
