How much do you know about anxiety? You may hear a general narrative about it in society, but how much have you REALLY heard about someone’s personal journey?

Stigma can only exist if those experiencing anxiety don’t tell their own story.

It’s time to begin taking back the narrative, choosing instead to show the human side of that journey, offsetting the ‘stigma’ label by telling stories.

All of our stories.

In this Sip Session Kristina and John will share their personal stories while facilitating an honest conversation around thriving through anxiety.

Anxiety looks different across the population. No two people’s experiences are the same. And part of what can make anxiety feel so suffocating and overwhelming is the sensation that we’re the only ones going through it. But listening and speaking are both tools that can help offset that isolation. Listening allows us to learn about those in our communities. Speaking helps us share what we’re experiencing and going through. Join us to listen, learn, and share.

Stigma is defined as a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person. But sharing stories of how we build and grow in the face of adversity is hardly a disgrace. It’s actually a demonstration of grace — upon ourselves and others who might require that same space.

So, there’s no stigma here, only stories.

What we share can become a tool for life.

One we can all use.
