Despite the widespread acknowledgment of the need for significant changes in our society, a large segment of the population refuses to acknowledge the existence of systemic racism. Consequently, many of these individuals do not genuinely support the idea of employing inclusive practices that will improve the quality of life for people of color.

Unfortunately, this reality makes it even more challenging to reach a viable “tipping point” in our society that will eventually lead to meaningful and sustainable changes in the future.

Given the prevailing circumstances, we must encourage others to play an active role in improving the overall social well-being of the Black community, and all people of color in the future. At this Sip Session, we will create a robust dialogue to openly explore how to effectively engage individuals who are typically not open to considering diverse perspectives, especially those that challenge their own beliefs and life experiences. Our goal is to understand the vital and collective role we must play to advance this critical conversation. I also hope that each of us leaves this discussion feeling better equipped to encourage more courageous and inspiring dialogue with those around us.
